Alpine Escapes- Pittoresque villages in Tyrol

In winter, most of them are popular ski resorts, white snow covering the enchanting hills and offering breathtaking views. Tourists from all over the world come here to enjoy skiing, snowboarding or other winter sports.

But for those who need a quiet and peaceful summer, these villages are the best option. We started our trip in Stumm because our accomodation was there, then we drove to Zell am Ziller, Kaltenbach and Mayrhofen (this last one holds an annual Snowbombing festival- a weeklong mix of skiing and having fun with world-class DJs).

One thing to really appreciate is how nice and friendly people are. There was no local who wouldn't greet us or smile. They seem to be living quite peacefully; waking up in the morning, going for a run, breathing fresh air, enjoying the mountains and grabing a cup of coffee with their neighbours.
These people really appreciate nature- a lot of hikers everywhere, from little kids to elders exploring the magnificent Alps. No pollution, no noise, no stress.
Yet another thing. Austrians really know how to decorate their home. Every single house was surrounded by colorful flowers and beautiful gardens and we really enjoyed walking by them and admiring their charm.

I must admit, i didn't expect to be so positively impressed by Mozart's home country, Austria:)

The use of traveling is to regulate imagination with reality, and instead of thinking of how things may be, see them as they are.” – Samuel Johnson
